About Transition Swansea

The effects of peak oil and climate change will transform the way we eat, work, travel and consume within our lifetime. Reducing emissions and building resilient local systems now, will help aleviate the blow of diminishing oil reserves. The transition culture is sweeping across the nation and the world, helping to build communities and prepare them for the future. The energy Descent Plan is a vision by Rob Hopkins and his students inspired by the film 'The End of Suburbia.' It contains constructive and positive ways to prepare our communities and adapt to the consequences of a reduction in resources.
Building community and co-operating with each other are essential. As well as consuming less and using renewable and sustainable energy. To find out more go to www.transitiontowns.org
